Week 1 Activities
Week 1 of the Take Action Project serves as our Welcome Week and our Introduction Week.
Our topic this week: social awareness
Level of exploration: self
Guiding question: What kind of world do I want to create?
Ideas for actions for this week:
- Create a space in your classroom (or virtual learning space) to spotlight the project adding the project name, weekly topic, level of exploration, and guiding question.

Ми створили ось такий куточок проекту у класі - Work with your students to create a Visual Timeline of the project. Explore topics, questions, and levels of exploration. Start this week with SELF. How do students see their place in the world?
- Research the project collaborators: UN (UN75), WWF-UK, and NASA. Invite students to determine if they deem these collaborators reliable resources as trusted experts. Consider qualities and experiences that qualify one as a trusted expert.
- The UN turns 75 this year! Consider introducing the project to your students by:
- Reviewing resources on #UN75.
- Plan a small “birthday party” for the UN. Consider what a “good for the planet” birthday party could look like. Give a “gift” of 7.5 minutes of service. Share out ideas and actions using the #TakeActionProject hashtag on social media.

- Together with your students, complete the Hello World introduction survey.

Також учні створили опитування на ресурсі Flipgrid, де висловили свої думки про те, який світ вони хотіли б створити.
- Invite your students to create their own project digital badge to represent participation. Students can also select to submit their designs to become the Official Take Action Project digital badge for 2020. One badge will be selected in Week 3. Submissions can be uploaded HERE from 3/1-3/13.
